This series of events presents a unique opportunity for the entire University to read, discuss, and explore one of August Wilson's most famous plays set in the Hill District of Pittsburgh. Fences is a timeless story about the strengths and flaws of the human family and what it means to live in an imperfect world. African American playwright August Wilson won a Pulitzer Prize and a Tony Award for the play. The second event in this series, this reading will be led by Christopher Rawson, senior lecturer in English. The reading will feature professional local actors.
