Conversation on Aging Featuring Helen Small

Helen Small's book The Long Life (Oxford University Press, 2007) has been described as the first major study of old age in philosophy and literature since Beauvoir's The Coming of Age. This event will feature Professor Small (Oxford) leading an informal conversation on the topic of aging, featuring Pitt faculty from the humanities, health sciences, and beyond. The conversation will focus on Mary Mothersill's 1998 address to the American Philosophical Association, entitled "Old Age." The reading is available by clicking here.
