Bodies in Motion: Zidane, a 21st Century Portrait

The first event in the "Bodies in Motion" series, this film screening will feature Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait, a film that uses 17 cameras to document Zinedine Zidane's movements during the course of a single match in April, 2005. The result is more a stunning real-time study of time and motion than a sports documentary.

"Bodies in Motion" is a collaboration between School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and Film Studies Program within the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. This collaboration will explore the definition of human movement from the perspectives of budding film theorists, student filmmakers and photographers, and rehabilitation science students.

This event is also sponsored by the School of Health and Rehabilitation Studies, the Film Studies Program, the Department of English, and the Humanities Center. For more information, read here or contact Jen Florian at jrf16@pitt.edu.
